The best part about vanity is when it gives back: Sharing my latest obsession

Note: This is an old entry reposted from my old blog called Boudoir Angel on Tumblr. I'm reposting all of these old entries because I plan to delete my old blog and consolidate everything to this one. Some posts may have its text updated and/or reformatted slightly according to the platform change.

Granted that it’s pretty easy to find them, sometimes some people just need an arrow pointing in the right direction.

Also, a little trivia: M.A.C. (Which actually stands for “Make-up Art Cosmetics) Cosmetics is actually an independent brand founded in Canada that is now under Estee Lauder. Originally it was designed purely for use by make-up artists but thankfully they’ve decided to widen their scope and offer these gorgeous cosmetics to us regular folk!

I've also found that M.A.C. has an AIDS foundation and their Viva Glam line is dedicated to the funding of this foundation.

EVERY CENT MADE FROM THE SALE OF VIVA GLAM LIPSTICK AND LIPGLASS IS DONATED TO M.A.C.’s AIDS FOUNDATION.

It’s just plain brilliant in my opinion.

Since I first became aware of M.A.C.’s existence I’ve only really known of one celebrity endorser for Viva Glam–Fergie of Black Eyed Peas. The two latest endorsers are Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper. If memory serves, Fergie actually had two or three limited Viva Glam shades. Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper have one each.

There are six other Viva Glam shades that are the continuously produced shades.

I’ve tried the Gaga and Cyndi shades and they’re both absolutely luscious. I think I might actually go ahead and get a tube of each one. :3

Update: On the issue of being cruelty-free, it seems we are on the fence again and I have to find some reliable sources to tell me whether or not they are cruelty-free. Now, I've always known M.A.C. to be cruelty-free which was why I was upset when I found about about China's third party testing policy and the fact that their products are sold there.

Recently, China has implemented a moratorium on this third party testing so I was very happy to be able to use M.A.C. again. But a new petition has come up asking the brand to stop testing on animals--WHAT?

Meantime I will enjoy whatever items I have from them but will refrain from further purchases until the matter has been cleared up.
