Cool Showers

It's not summer but the combination of weather and pregnancy hormones has made me feel like this is the most scorching heat I've been in since I was in Australia in late 2003.

I know I generally pimp Human Nature more (naturally, since I am a Human Nature dealer and I can earn extra by getting people to purchase through me ^_~) it's not the only natural/organic brand I use.

Everything in writing

Given how much of a scatter-brain I've been these last few months, and anticipating that I will be the same way for a good long while still, I have bought these:

The original Belle de Jour planner for my everyday things, the Everything is Possible planner for...well, my own plans. It's not yet been re-covered; I intend to cover it up in pretty wrapping paper as is typical of me, hahaha. And the Ideas Journal pad to stick into both planners for those little random things.

I mean, yeah, I'm a wife and mother...or will be a mother very soon...but I need to have some personal goals on the side too. ^_^

Weekend Work Retreat #3: Day One

I can't say I was thrilled we'd be working with children. I've mentioned before on this blog that I generally don't like children unless they are related to me (and even then, blood is a very tenuous link) or belong to my friends, making them as good as nieces/nephews/little cousins to me.

For one full work day I would be surrounded by children. Not only that, I had to interact with them.

Thanksgiving

It's not a local tradition, celebrating Thanksgiving. But being a country addicted to sales and reasons for holding sales, well, the bug seems to have bitten and here we are: "celebrating" Thanksgiving.

As for myself, I shall keep it very simple:

Thank you, Lord, for I am alive.
Thank you, Lord, for the loved ones by my side.
Thank you, Lord, for providing everything I need.
Thank you, Lord, for loving me.

Weekend Project

Full disclosure: this did not actually happen in just one weekend. Why? I had to run all over the place to find the right materials for it.

Nonetheless, I am right chuffed I finally finished it today!

Interiors Inspiration

It has been a very long and arduous process, getting to this point where I am taking very seriously the need to clean up my junk and get everything in the house organised the way I want.

That said, I've been looking for inspiration from everywhere.

Last Leg

While not strictly a travel-related post--I told myself I'd stick to travel posts on Thursdays--this is still a journey and I just really wanted to get it out there.

Normally I would post one of my journals to Bean but as you've noticed, the past two weeks I've not really shared anything again. Mostly because I've been busy with my offline things and with the Feast of the Dead just passed, there were a lot of things that needed to be dealt with.

Old world charm

One of my nephews-in-law* was baptised last Sunday--that's where yesterday's photo came from. But that's not the main thing I'm going to talk about, as is obvious from the post title.

But first, a little about the baptism.

Elianto Shimmer Sticks

Just a (still sealed) close-up preview of my collection of Elianto Shimmer Sticks since my original photo set didn't show the colours too clearly.

As planned, I'm going to start opening these and experimenting with them. I'm taking into consideration kiwikira321's suggestion to use the Too Faced base, though I may have to look for an alternative since I've never seen Too Faced on sale locally. Etude House might have a good one and M.A.C. is another one to consider. Or perhaps a good layering of moisturiser and powder?
